Frequently asked questions
How fresh are the rates?
The ECB publishes reference rates every business day around 16:00 CET. Results are cached server-side for one hour; the reference date is always included in the response.
Are these tradable rates?
No — ECB reference rates are wholesale averages without retail spreads. Card and broker rates will differ by 0.5–3%.
